Description The DarkStar Group is seeking an Applications Developer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. THE PROJECT
The Sponsor requires support to directly assist the Sponsor program manager with operational support, database support, collaboration with other operational teams, briefing customers, and development and execution of strategy for complex technical solutions that are widely used and relied upon. The work will be performed within a team environment. The Sponsor needs polished skills in concept development and execution while managing a moderate, fast-paced workload. THE ROLE The Contractor shall work with customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
The Contractor shall track program progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
The Contractor shall serve as a geospatial technology and mobile development expert.
The Contractor shall support technical meetings with vendors to communicate program and mission requirements.
The Contractor shall provide technical advice and direction based on practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), software (commercial, FOSS, and GOTS), and security mechanisms.
The Contractor shall interact with the Sponsor's Enterprise teams to integrate Sponsor's geospatial mission data within a common, enterprise web application, to include system administration, database administration, file, and access management functions using Amazon EC2, S3, and related services.
The Contractor shall develop mobile applications.
The Contractor shall be proficient with both Android and iOS app development.
Required Skills Demonstrated experience with strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services.
Demonstrated ability to develop Android/iOS mobile applications using React including proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and Javascript.
Demonstrated experience working with teams to manage software development activities.
Demonstrated experience working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design.
Demonstrated experience managing iterative software development releases.
Demonstrated experience tracking development sprints using JIRA.
Demonstrated experience managing source code in Github and Gitlab.
Demonstrated experience developing test plans.
Demonstrated experience providing technical support and training to a broad client base.
Demonstrated experience understanding emerging technical trends.
Demonstrated experience in software engineering and development
Demonstrated experience supporting technical operations.
Desired Skills (Optional) Demonstrated experience with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Demonstrated experience documenting process and procedures.
Demonstrated experience with tool idea conceptualization and requirements design.
