Seneca Holdings has an immediate opening for an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to work directly with our Facility Security Officer. This position is based in ability Adjudications. They will also assist in providing Security Awareness Training and Security Awareness updates to all employees. Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist the FSO with day-to-day security operations through the following tasks: Assist employees, subcontractors and consultants with their personnel security packages and associated investigation and reinvestigation requirements and maintain accurate records of all support. Initiate background investigation requests (including fingerprinting) using eApp via NBIS/DISS, SF86 reviews, processing visit requests, foreign travel reporting and other administrative functions in the security database(s) of record. Provide initial security indoctrination briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher briefings. Ensure incident reporting issues are promptly reported throughout the investigation period to include initial, follow-up and final reports. Assist with preparing/maintaining manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), System Security Plans (SSPs), Insider Threat Program, OPSEC Plans, DD Form 254s, and other required documents as well as ensuring full compliance to National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government and company policies. Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies regarding security clearances and classified information handling. Oversee the implementation of security protocols and procedures to safeguard sensitive information and assets. Support and participate in annual security self-assessments as well as DCSA Security Reviews. Be able to collaborate with government agencies and internal stakeholders on security-related matters. Assist security team with SCIF management, if applicable. Experience working with Intelligence Community Security Clearance processes is preferred. Stay informed about changes in security regulations and industry best practices. Other security-related duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Previous experience as an AFSO and/or FSO or similar role within the Department of Defense industry. Bachelor's degree in related discipline (preferred) Two (2) or more years of directly related experience preferably in a government or DOD environment. In-depth knowledge of security regulations, including the NISPOM. Experience with Non-possessing and Possessing facilities, preferred. Knowledge and experience in SCIF security measures and policies/procedures, is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills and commitment to quality customer service. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion. Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience in working with government agencies and defense contractors.
