Job description

Description SAIC is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer who will work to ensure systems engineering is executed in a disciplined manner across the entire program portfolio to include the baseline program, future systems assigned to the program office, and planning for significant new and emerging requirements including space resiliency. This position is located in Chantilly, Virginia and requires an a ctive TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. This role will be in support of a program that provides full life-cycle system engineering & acquisition
support for multiple Major System Acquisitions to a Government satellite program office. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Support the development of acquisition and program management strategies for new initiatives. Support Systems Engineering in the areas of technical planning, requirements management, interface management, and technical assessment. Capture, document, and manage major schedule milestones and events applicable to the program office portfolio of projects. Provide systems engineering expertise support to COTRs and GPOCs and to integrated product teams in all areas related to mission performance. Provide recommendation and the identification of risk based on review of technical and acquisition documentation, deliverables and presentations to ensure that the products are of sufficient maturity. Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Bachelor's degree and 18 or more years professional experience; Masters degree and 16 or more years professional experience. Experience developing acquisition and program management strategies. Ample Systems Engineering experience including requirements management, planning, and technical assessment. Expertise in concept development which includes identifying future threats, advising on
gap closure and future needs. Ability to communicate and coordinate as a SME within the SIGINT Community. Ability to understand current TCPED trade craft and how to apply to collection needs to
solve hard problems. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
