Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Chantilly, VA. This role is essential in driving infrastructure automation, supporting customer platforms, and enhancing DevOps capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in cloud-native technologies, infrastructure management, and DevOps tooling. Responsibilities:
• Develop and Maintain Self-Service Platform: Build and manage a custom Kubernetes Operator using Python, integrating Terraform to automate customer infrastructure management.
• Platform Deployment Automation: Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, ArgoCD, Keycloak, and other platforms for new accounts using a Terraform-based automation system.
• Full-Stack Application Development: Design and develop application services using Java and React, ensuring high-performance and scalable solutions.
• DevOps Tooling and Support: Develop and integrate tools, such as GitLab and ArgoCD, to enable seamless DevOps activities for internal software development teams.
• Prototype New Technologies: Evaluate and prototype new services on AWS and Kubernetes to drive innovation and rapid development for emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications:
• Location and Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Top Secret (TS) security clearance; TS/SCI with CI Polygraph preferred. On-site work in Chantilly, VA, is required daily.
• Experience: 8 years + Master's Degree, 10 years + Bachelor's Degree, or 14 years with no Degree.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform/Cloudformation, and Python is essential for building and managing infrastructure automation systems. Preferred Qualifications:
• Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in scripting or programming languages to automate tasks and enhance workflows.
• Cloud Expertise: AWS Certification or equivalent experience in cloud services, with deep knowledge of AWS tools and services.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native tools.
• Automation Tools: Experience configuring and deploying automation tools such as Chef, SALT, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Linux System Management: Strong background in Linux system administration, including maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
