Our work depends on Network Engineer joining our team to design, plan, and build communications networks. The Network Engineer will configure routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols. The Network Engineer will coordinate LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements. The Network Engineer will monitor the network utilizing industry leading technologies, provide innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process, and plan implementation of enhancements. HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Responsible for the design and development of data communications networks
Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies
Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Understanding of spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP, VRFs; proficient in Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, and firewalls; basic familiarity with Aruba switches; proficient with Palo Alto firewalls; familiar with cloud networking; general troubleshooting skills; physical ability to install new hardware
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Required Skills and Abilities: Works independently under limited supervision, possess current DoD IAT II Level certification
Preferred Skills: Splunk / Cribl experience is a plus

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
