Compu Dynamics sits in the heart of one of the fastest growing data center markets in the country and is a recognized leader in that business! We are excited to be growing and have an immediate need for a Mechanical Project Manager.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides leadership in mechanical systems on project management and estimating processes, methodology, and tools.
2. Comprehends the technical knowledge of high performance computing (HPC) cooling systems at a level that allows mentoring and training of company staff.
3. Familiar with AI-era liquid cooling piping system design and installation.
4. Participates in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
5. Develops conceptual plans for use in estimating or client presentation.
6. Presents conceptual and detailed plans to clients explaining equipment selection, system operation, and maintenance requirements.
7. Supports our Marketing and Sales Teams in client identification and pursuit of new mechanical installation opportunities.
8. Evaluates data and metrics to propose new strategies to improve project delivery and develops reports that portray and give external stakeholders visibility into the project landscape
9. Attends pre-bid meetings, conducts site inspections, coordinates the RFI process and collaborates with field managers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate data collection for competitive bid generation
10. Establishes and nurtures relationships with industry professionals, suppliers, prime contractors, subcontractors, public agencies and internal customers
11. Prepares estimates and written proposals for clients based on labor, materials, equipment and other expenses
12. Reviews RFPs/Design Docs and prepares RFIs as needed.
13. Creates the project scope of work and any Bill of Materials (BOM) for the estimate and submits for pricing.
14. Attends estimate review meetings with the Leadership Team.
15. Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to ensure our construction teams have the materials they need
16. Communicates with field supervision and operations leadership about delays and any other issues that must be communicated to clients
17. Codes and approves invoices
18. Maintains an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship
19. Provides timely and completed documentation of work performed
20. Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science Architecture, or equivalent work experience
2. 5+ years of Project Management experience
3. 5+ years of Estimating experience
4. Data center design and/or construction experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. 3+ Commercial general contractor experience
2. 5+ years of Mechanical Design Engineer

Compu Dynamics Pay Range $120,000 - $160,000 USD
