Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Facility Electrical Engineer to support our business in Chantilly, VA . This organization supports mission critical government programs. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will help us advance our electrical products, systems, and applications. Daily you will carry out various engineering tasks, such as performing calculations to ensure our systems meet the global safety standards and collaborating with technicians and computer programmers to solve emerging issues. You'll also do research on manufacturing processes and analyze data and trends to build new products. Ultimately, you will improve our company's products and processes and contribute to its growth! Position Responsibilities: Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products
Develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards
Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time
Define customer needs and requirements
Ensure that installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes
Perform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy IT systems
Summarize data and report on test results
Examine needs on new equipment, calculate costs and help prepare budgets
Monitor maintenance and inspection plans This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph pre-start is required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years' experience as a Facilities Electrical Engineer Engineering degree from ABET accredited institution Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience using SKM software
FE or Professional Engineer license in the state of Virginia
Experience working with U.S. Government customer
A current active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
