Visit for more details. Responsibilities General Position Description: An emerging authority with extensive technical expertise who designs and develops complex systems and solutions. This role involves a holistic approach to managing the entire system lifecycle, from conceptual design to implementation, testing, and client liaison, ensuring compliance with customer and government standards. Key Responsibilities: Apply technical expertise to develop complex system solutions.
Exercise significant autonomy in setting objectives and approaches.
Design, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems throughout the product lifecycle.
Generate and translate system requirements based on customer needs and logistics.
Ensure compliance with client and government standards through verification methods.
Collaborate with engineering disciplines to develop detailed implementation requirements.
Establish standards and procedures for product development.
Design interfaces and integrate system elements.
Assess system performance using technical performance measures.
Liaise with customers to shape requirements and support business development.
Participate in system conceptual design and document design concepts.
Conduct design reviews to ensure system applicability and traceability of requirements.
Generate verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
Review and participate in testing processes to validate requirements.
Program Description: With a fresh, new 7-year contract, this program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an important Intelligence Community (IC) customer with a focus on critical, assured space communications and supporting IT infrastructure. The contract support is part of the customer core team focused on all aspects of the systems engineering life cycle beginning with conops development, where we work directly with users, potentially going into harm's way, who will be dependent on these communications systems. We then capture their requirements and work closely with developers to deliver these essential capabilities. We get involved with setting up and running tests to ensure these cutting-edge capabilities will meet the stringent requirements and then we support transition to operations. Once in operations, our teams work closely with the users to make sure critical operations are successful, providing important information to support critical decisions by policy makers. The program also supports client acquisition strategy, future technology development and modernization efforts. Specific Position Description: This is a multi-faceted position in Chantilly, VA that will focus on a range of systems engineering functions as well as Knowledge Management disciplines. The Systems Engineering aspect will support the client's acquisition of new special communications capabilities to enhance the mission. SETA teams work through the systems engineering life cycle, to acquire these capabilities through contracts with development contractors. Manage and document system requirements by working with users to understand needs and development contractors to deliver capabilities to meet those needs.
Support the successful transition of new capabilities into operations.
The second focus of this position is to establish a Knowledge Management system to improve the overall data management and accessibility for everyone, including decision makers. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Integrate information from departments and functions throughout the organization to facilitate easy access, sharing, and dissemination of information, improving efficiency, quality and organizational knowledge.
Train and educate users of the knowledge management tools.
Develop reports as required to support operations, develop and organize knowledge content as required, and prepare presentations for senior management to support recommended changes, new initiatives or enhancements.
Monitor solution benefits and key measures of success to ensure that ongoing benefits are realized, and facilitates development of controls with business partners through streamlining processes and system automation.
Support all positions with appropriate analysis and backup materials; collaborate across many business units to communicate complex concepts and gather key information for the repository.
Qualifications Required: Must posses and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
8 to 10 years with BS or 6 to 8 years with MS or 3 to 5 years with a PHd.
(4 years of relevant experience systems engineering, development/acquisition/O&M programs can be substituted).
Technical BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree.
Experience in modern systems engineering tools, systems and processes.
The ability to work well within a team of engineers.
Demonstrated success in working with government customers.
Desired: BS in Information Management, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience with implementing Knowledge Management systems or organizing large amounts of data to improve accessibility.
Prior SETA experience with Chantilly customer working with requirements and other related readiness processes.
Prior experience with RF based satellite communications.
