Responsibilities Arcfield is looking for a System Administrator to join our team to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support and data management services to the Sponsor, including installation, configuration and integration activities, test interface functionality, perform access control, user support, troubleshooting, data integrity checks, address system anomalies, routine system backup and recovery activities, application upgrades/patching for all systems/applications and servers hosted in the BSE Development, Test, and Production environments. Duties include but are not limited to: Actively address any observed or reported performance issues, user access, interface issues, and data integrity and system anomalies that affect IT resource tracking, billing, and invoicing activities within the BE.
Prepare and maintain detailed records pertaining to performance issues, data integrity, interface failures, and/or system operation anomalies that affected IT resource tracking, billing, and invoicing activities within the BE, to include routine and/or requisite patching, upgrades, and testing activities. Actions taken to resolve any observed or reported incidents shall also be recorded. Actions, incidents, and/or issues shall be reported monthly.
Ensure recovery processes are executed for systems/applications and data maintained within the BSE. Ensure system/application vulnerabilities and risks are promptly addressed and mitigated.
Conduct and manage backup and recovery tests for systems/applications and data hosted in the BSE. Tests shall be performed every six (6) months, as a minimum, if results are positive and without failure. In the event of a recovery test failure, immediate actions shall be taken to resolve any issue(s).
Provide technical support and guidance to functional teams within the Sponsor's BE.
Ensure the System Security Plan is periodically evaluated and updated, as directed by the Sponsor. Ensure the Plan includes procedures for implementing and testing firewalls, SSL, x509, PKI certificates, system hardening, response criteria for system alarms and audit events, and managing access control.
Ensure cloud hosting requirements are maintained and optimized for all business systems/applications hosted within the BSE.
Ensure deployed systems/applications within the BSE continue to perform as implemented, after network, virtual machines (VMs), and servers are upgraded and/or modified.
Coordinate required and recommended updates to the BSE and/or system/applications with functional teams and external service providers. Support regression testing ahead of external enterprise-level patches/upgrades.
Ensure hosted software and any middleware hosted within the BSE is patch compliant.
Document and actively maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all System Administration processes unique to the BE, to include (as a minimum) process schedules, maintenance processes, security protocols, access procedures, workflows, diagrams, guides, interactions with functional teams within the BE and Mission Partners. Descriptive and key functional information shall also be included regarding business systems/applications that support and interact with the BSE.
Provide technical support to Sponsor functional teams and/or Mission Partners to address incidents or service requests, as directed by the Sponsor.
Decommission systems/applications as appropriate, or as directed by the Sponsor.
System Administration deliverables shall consist of the following:
Deliver detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Deliver a monthly BSE activity summary, to include any outstanding issues.
Qualifications Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Systems Engineering
Five (5) years of experience actively contributing to technical activities that involved cloud administration, network administration, and/or system administration.
Must have current TS/SCI with Poly and the ability to maintain.
Desired Qualifications Three (3) years of experience actively contributing to technical activities that involved cloud administration, network administration, and/or system administration within the Intelligence Community
Active certification related to system or network administration, e.g., CompTIA Network+, Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1 Linux Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft DevOps engineer certification, Microsoft Administrator certification.
