Job Description Windows Domain and SCCM Engineer, Principal Become an integral part of a diverse team while working at an Industry Leading Organization, where our employees come first. Currently, Signature is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Windows Domain and SCCM Engineer, Principal, to join our team in the Chantilly, VA, area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Providing enterprise virtualized environment (VMWare) support by providing high-end engineering skills to support Windows Servers in operational environments • Supplying inputs to key project decisions regarding system requirements, design, testing methods, and delivery activities • Actively communicating with key program stakeholders regarding status of activities and potential recommendations for improvement regarding the system design, function and supporting O&M processes • Problem solving and troubleshooting issues within deployed systems • Serving as key point of contact regarding developing, recommending improvements, implementing, and maintaining Windows Active Directory and Group Policy • Patching, applying STIGs and remediating security vulnerabilities on Windows servers and VMWARE workstation images • Planning, designing, developing, documenting, and recommending enhancements and modifications to existing systems as well as any new system capability scheduled for development • Work in an AWS cloud environment • Supporting management activities to include patch management and backups across deployed systems • Working with other team members to proactively diagnose and resolve complex problems Basic Qualifications: • Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the fields of computer science, computer engineering, or any related field and 5 years of related experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Windows Server, Workstation and VMWARE • Must possess a DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification. Demonstrated Technical Experience: • Experience with COTS technologies used in a Cyber Security Operations Center environment, including network/host IDS and IPS, and SIEM technologies • Expertise in cyber security enterprise scanning and continuous monitoring, enterprise host/network security and intrusion detection • Expertise with cyber security architectural principles such as defense in depth, resilience, and integrated security operations • Ability to convert functional cyber security requirements into system requirements • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met • Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management is necessary • Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively - seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities Preferred Qualifications: • Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Workstation operating systems in addition to virtualization technologies such as VMware • Hands-on Windows engineering: designing, building, and troubleshooting experience • Experience applying and working with Windows Group Policy Objectives (GPOs) • Experience with various security tools, such as Nessus, HBSS, Splunk, etc. • Experience working with Windows Domain structures • Systems integration and troubleshooting experience • Build and configuration management experience to include Patch Management experience • Creative problem solving • Ability to remain on task, be self-motivated, and be a strong communicator. • Familiarity with Cloud Technology (AWS, MS Azure, Oracle, etc.) Security Clearance Requirements: • Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Physical Requirements: • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations • Ability to work in a cubicle environment without distractions
