Job Description:

Ability to conduct purchasing, shipping and receiving orders and tracking of materials.

Handle unforeseen issues, such as delivery problems, and adjust plans as needed to resolve the issues.

Interact with vendors to place orders, obtain information and handle any issues during ordering process.

Inspect inbound inventory for defects or notable damage and logs/reports issues.

Prepare inventory for shipping, generating documentation, tracking shipments.

Develop an understanding of organizational and customer needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.

Develop business relationships with suppliers/vendors.

Develop inventory control processes to account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred.

Develop Bill of Materials from drawing packages using authorized vendors for pricing.

Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.

Collaborate with various sections as necessary to meet organization and customer requirements.

Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Maintain strong attention to detail.

Maintain a positive attitude and work as a member of a cohesive team as well as independently.

Ability to perform several tasks at one time, keep detailed records, and simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.

Participates in special projects as required.

Create formal Request for Quotes (RFQ) from vendors and suppliers.

Process purchase requisitions to procure materials necessary for production efforts.

Ability to read NAVSEA Drawings not required but a plus.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Must be able to obtain Secret clearance.

High School Diploma Required

Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

1+ years of experience

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $21.97 - $26.45. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
