Program Manager

Program Manager supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity. Must have extensive knowledge of SQQ 89 and ASW related mission areas. The role of this position will be shared between program management and future program development,

As a Program Manager you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Program Manager joining our team to manage complex projects from planning through delivery. Work between project members, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated. Utilize appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines. Communicate schedule and changes to all stakeholders. Plan and facilitate project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals, and to track project tasks. Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries. Monitor task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans. Allocate resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary.

HOW A PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area with annual revenues up to $25M
Manage customer site and company site team members in support of the Navy's Surface Sonar ISEA.
Work with the GDIT Sonar team and supporting repair, fabrication, and installation teams to meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in management, engineering, computer science, information systems, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Required Experience:

• Ten (10) years of professional experience in project management including engineering, risk management, financial management, planning and oversight task progress

• Five (5) or more years specialized experience performing work in each of the following areas:

o Demonstrated ability to lead personnel through all aspects of project activity.

o Demonstrated experience supporting Dept. of the Navy and/or Dept. of Defense programs.

o Demonstrated experience supporting US Navy shipboard and shore-based installation programs.

o Demonstrated experience performing cost estimates associated with Level of Effort, scope of work and associated requirements.

o Demonstrated experience managing multiple Task Orders/Technical Instructions.

Security Clearance Level: SECRET
Preferred: PMP Certification
Location: Company Site, Chesapeake VA

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
