Responsibilities What You'll Do: V2X is seeking an Integrated Topside Design (ITD) Engineer to support the Electromagnetic Effects Division (B50) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) that conducts research and development analyses in controlling Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Platform ITD problem investigation, characterization, quantification, and engineering of fixes in accordance with governing directives. On site in an office/lab environment at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division. Key Responsibilities: Support the development of ITD and Computational Electromagnetic analyses and models Provide input to system platform locations for ITD analyses Job Activities related to ITD and E3: Platform Integration System Integration and Certification System Problem Solving and Data Management Systems Engineering Qualifications Minimum Qualification: Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline. or (6) Six years or more of equivalent DoD Service as an E-4 or above in a related technical rate can substitute for a bachelor's degree in this role. Experience: Eight (8) years professional technical experience in Research, Design, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Four (4) years specialized experience related to shipboard systems in one or more of the following topside areas: Radiation Hazards (RADHAZ) System Performance Ship Operations Deck Operations Aviation RF Signatures Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) / Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Clearance Requirements: Requires an active Secret clearance US Citizenship is required. Software: Computational Electromagnetic Analysis and 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models Technology: Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment RF laboratory equipment.
