Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. We are seeking a Software Configuration Manager to support our customer's operations in Dahlgren, Virginia. This effort provides our Government customer with software support services. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret Clearance. Responsibilities: Ensure timely communication and transmission of data at all classification levels in a real-time collaborative environment aligning with the Configuration Management and tools used by the Government Maintain each software product, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) developmental software, under configuration control systems contained on Government networks Identify and maintain change control and tracking of all configuration items associated with the Department programs Use software management tools as utilized by the Government (such as Git) to assure that change control functions are properly implemented on software for UNIX, Linux, and PC based systems Produce System Installation Documentation Procedures for each software release. Software files to be updated shall be made available to software engineers Perform configuration and version control of all tactical and support hardware and software. This includes generating or duplicating official release media and supporting material Qualifications Essential Requirements: US Citizenship Active Secret Clearance Required Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Configuration Management (CM) process and procedures required to identify, document, and control the functional and physical characteristics of a configuration item Minimum of two (2) years of experience with the application of CM methodologies and DOD Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes Experience working with CM tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jira, Gitlab, Rational Team Concert (RTC), and SharePoint as appropriate to support projects within B40 and B60 with tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jira, GitLab, Rational Team Concert (RTC), and SharePoint Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite software to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access and Outlook Demonstrated ability to track and manage program deliverables Demonstrated ability to document Configuration Management process in standard operating procedures and develop processes for engineers to follow to ensure their compliance with program Configuration Management Processes and Procedures Education and Certifications: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and two (2) years of configuration management experience; or A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), and five (5) years of software configuration management experience I2X Technologies is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and the public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
