Overview SURFACE WARFARE ANALYST (HSI 8): Bowhead is search of one (1) Surface Warfare Analyst to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Dahlgren Division for a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. The Surface Warfare Analyst will support the Human Systems Integration (HSI) applying advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities Essential functions will include: Provide management and technical advisory support for established Surface Warfare Enterprise processes and special projects. Interact with senior leaders and stakeholders across the SWE to identify issues and develop analytically based approaches to solve critical surface force readiness issues. Other duties as assigned Qualifications A balanced skill set that includes relevant experience, operational conversancy, business/programmatic skills, system knowledge, and the ability to quickly and efficiently achieve mission objectives. Prior experience with management and oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel and subcontractors. A Bachelor's Degree is required with at least ten (10) years of US Navy Active duty experience as a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO), Limited Duty Officer (LDO) or Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) . Combat Systems experience related to Aegis Combat and Weapons Systems or Ship Self Defense System (SSDS). Must posses an Officer of the Deck (OOD) qualification. Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, sit and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
