Department Summary: We are currently seeking a Lead Analytic Systems Engineer to join the Cross-cutting Urgent Innovation Cell (CUIC), an organization that is unique to MITRE because: We are team of analysts, scientists, innovators, and engineers focused on delivering meaningful solutions to national security challenges

We are looking for talented problem solvers with a passion for adapting emerging academic and commercial technologies to develop cross-cutting innovative solutions for the defense, intelligence, and civilian communities. Roles & Responsibilities: A Lead Analytic Systems Engineer is needed who possesses a breadth of technical skills and domain knowledge and can help implement a non-traditional data strategy to ensure multi-million-dollar data acquisition meets mission requirement needs. Successful candidate(s) will learn new techniques and approaches on-the-job working in collaboration with other team members. Partner with Analysis and Technical Leads to prioritize code development and user acceptance.
Assist with the decomposition and alignment of mission requirements into publicly and commercially available data attributes that can be used to answer U.S. government stakeholder questions.
Leverage a breadth of expertise across geographic domains and data analytics to bridge between U.S. government sponsors and MITRE capabilities. Basic Qualifications: Active Top Secret clearance
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Experience with publicly available information (PAI), including scouting sources and conducting analysis of PAI.
Experience working in a creative environment that leverages cross-functional teams with skillsets spanning intel analysis, targeting, PAI data expertise, software development, and data analysis.
Experience analyzing and manipulating intelligence datasets and using qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and capable of working with scientists, analysts, and technical software developers across several technical disciplines.
Experience scoping project objectives, building a team, and guiding the team to success.
This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree and related work experience focusing in one or more of the following areas: supply chain, emerging technology, financial networks, corporate structures, S&T research pipelines, Central Eurasia, East Asia, and/or all-source intelligence analysis.
Experience with project or program management.
Experience working on cross-functional teams developing software that requires diverse perspectives and expertise.
Experience evaluating PAI data sources and leveraging PAI for national security objectives.
Mission experience related to Russia or China.
