Project Engineer or Manager - Fairfax, Virginia

The Role

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer in Land Development? Do you have a desire for land development and a desire to work with a dynamic team? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Land Development Consultants, Inc. (LDCI) is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer or Project Engineer to join our growing team in Fairfax, Virginia. In this role, you will play a key part in all stages of the development process, from initial planning and design to project implementation. You will work closely with the firm owner, architects, contractors, and government officials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Assist with project planning, design, and construction administration of commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
  • Research and analyse project requirements and develop solutions using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project data and ensure high-quality, cost-effective designs.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Fairfax County and surrounding municipality regulations.

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on land development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • An EIT or PE license is preferred.
  • Desire to grow into a Project Manager.
