Python Developer Software Developer (SkillBridge Internship) Location: Fairfax, VA Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Active Top Secret/SCI NASK offers a SkillBridge Internship Program for transitioning military personnel for a Python Software Developer position. MUST be transitioning US Military personnel with your COMMAND'S approval for this program. More about your role: At NASK, we're growing, building great teams, and doing exciting work. You will have a background in Python development. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engineers and other domain experts to both develop new tools and improve existing ones. Any knowledge of signal processing techniques and algorithms, a strong math background - particularly knowledge of Fourier transforms or linear algebra, knowledge of geolocation techniques, or general familiarity with RF physics will make for the most successful candidate. You will be able to rapid prototyping, develop, modify and improve a suite of signal processing tools, as well as implement real-time signal processing algorithms on Linux-based SDR platforms while supporting customer needs and requirements; and analyzing and troubleshooting system performance. Required Qualifications: MUST be transitioning US Military personnel with your COMMAND'S approval for this program In lieu of a degree, relevant work experience Ability to quickly learn new software and technical subjects Work well in both a team environment and executing individual tasks Development of systems for the Intelligence and Defense communities Python experience Comfortable in a Linux development environment Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years Python work experience Any GUI development experience (Qt/PyQt would be ideal) Experience with Python data science libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, and Scipy XMIDAS familiarity C/C++ Code Management (Git would be ideal) Familiarity with the Atlassian tools (JIRA, Stash, Confluence, and Jenkins) and Gitlab Ability to analyze and improve the performance of existing algorithms using various methods (refactoring optimization, multi-threading, use of performance analysis tools) Knowledge of multi-threaded signal processing algorithms in Python/C++ on Linux hosts Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/poly Who we are: Our people are the core of who we are and what we do.
