Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Infusion for a travel nursing job in Fairfax, Virginia.

# beds/rooms 22 chairs
Average # of providers in the clinic/day 1 NP, 2 charge nurses, 7 nurses on the floor, 1 fast track nurse and 1 port nurse.
Average # of patients/day 60
Required Certifications BLS, ONS chemo/biotherapy card - must be in submittal

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Outpatient chemo, blood products, enzyme replacement, remicade infusions, Multiple sclerosis infusions.

Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years outpatient infusion experience required. Must be true chemo infusion experience. Not looking for someone who just has a mix of Oncology/Med Surg unit.

Manager/Supervisor Manager M-F

Job Duties: Administer chemo, Biotherapy, Care coordination - setting up follow ups, setting up labs, communicating with front desk and providers, injections, blood transfusions, therapeutic phlebotomy, Educating, symptom management, focused assessments.

Holiday Requirement No Major holidays but the holiday weeks are busy.
Is there a call or standby requirement? No
Floating Requirements-Floating is not frequent; however, you will be first to float. Traveler agrees to floating to another campus infusion center in Virginia.
Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy
How many shifts for orientation? 1-2 weeks
Do you use Medical Assistants or CNA's? Clinical tech's available they place IV's and draw blood
Additional Notes Traveler needs to be flexible, must create a great environment for all clients, they pride themselves on having great relationships with clients.
