Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on a Program Director joining our team to focus on long term software modernization and development of new functional enhancements, increasing the capabilities of Traffic Flow Management (TFM).
HOW A PROGRAM DIRECTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Provides technical, administrative, and operational management to assigned projects or task(s)
Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, schedules, and task order and administrative reporting
Manages large cross-functional agile teams responsible for software development, modernization, and technical enhancements
May perform high level technical services on assigned task(s)
Coordinate and manage deliverables, budgets, and timelines
Manages risk tracking process
Attends customer meetings and may serve as client liaison-client engagement
Manage Task Order(s) ensuring all tasks are complete meet schedule, and performance requirements
Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables
Mentor and provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members
Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field)
Required Experience:12+ years of related experience, with a minimum of 5 years managing the design, development, test or acquisition of complex software systems with an average value of $100M or greater
FAA National Airspace System (NAS) experience
Traffic Flow Management (TFM) experience
Required Technical Skills:Must have Project Management Institute's Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience managing Agile programs responsible for the design, development, test, or acquisition of complex software systems with an average value of $100M or greater
Experience in agile project management
Experience working within Agile environments and utilization of tools like JIRA or GitLab
Security Clearance Level:Must be clearable for a position of Public Trust and standard background investigation check
US Residency Requirement
Required Skills and Abilities:Solid technical background in software development
Strong communication skills, both oral and written; demonstrated ability to speak up appropriately and to raise issues to teams and senior management
Ability to thrive in situations of complexity and ambiguity while functioning at a high level of productivity in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Demonstrates Advanced software skills in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project or similar programs
Demonstrates ability to work independently
Demonstrated strength in solving complex problems
Preferred Experience, Skills, and/or Certifications:Agile certification (PMI-ACP or SAFe certification)
Experience managing IT Infrastructure, security and operations is a plus
Experience with AWS

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
