Tuknik Government Services currently has an opening for a Senior Program Protection Specialist for the Department of Defense Office of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO). We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Protection Specialist focused on the identification and protection of Critical Program Information (CPI) and analysis and development of Program Protection Plans and associated risk mitigation strategies and solutions to ensure capabilities fielded and in development are effectively uncompromised and adversary efforts to Reverse Engineer (RE), exploit, or develop countermeasures against are denied and deterred, imposing significant cost. This position requires the ability to creatively apply program protection principles and methods to rapidly evolving artificial intelligence technology and capabilities. Responsibilities: Serve as a senior staff advisor to the Chief, Special Projects for the CDAO on matters of intelligence informing CDAO strategies and activities, as well as counterintelligence and security functions to safeguard CDAO information, technology and assets. Provide direct support to the drafting and coordination of CDAO policy and guidance to the department on AI, data, and associated technology protection principles and practices. Assist in assessing, defining, developing, and implementing Systems Security Engineering (SSE) requirements, including assessing security provisions in technical reviews, specifications, engineering and test plans, designs, program deployment actions, SOOs, SOWs, RFPs, and other acquisition and engineering plans and documents Assist with authoring and maintaining Program Protection Plan (PPPs) and related Critical Program Information (CPI) pertaining to CDAO Programs and Projects. This includes PPP preparation guide, CPI determination matrix, risk assessments, manuals, and analysis tools such CPI and component analysis and checklists Provide direct support to the Program Protection Team Lead on the authoring and maintenance of Security Classification Guides (SCG)in accordance with DoD policies, providing clear and effective guidance to the workforce on derivative classification, as well as advice to the Original Classification Authority Coordinate and integrate execution of directorate requirements and taskings and develop, execute, document, and assist in the management of key Operations and Enterprise core functions, tasks and processes, including security review for materials intended for public release. Coordinate, integrate, arrange, conduct, and assist in the management of day-to-day directorate support functions and mission requirements. Devise and help implement innovative Program Protection strategies to secure sensitive technologies and capabilities. Perform, or support, security inspections, identify security discrepancies and prepare reports Requirements: 15+ years of experience within the DoD or IC, ideally related to the management, oversight, planning, directing, and/or execution of a program executive office specific to a security function or an intelligence mission in any of the following disciplines: Human Intelligence, Counterintelligence, Signals Intelligence, Cyber Network Exploitation. Previous experience in the implementation and measures of performance of various active/passive program security and counterintelligence measures, practices, and postures. Possess excellent research and data-gathering skills with an ability to interpret/analyze complex information within operational Research & Development (R&D) / Science & Technology (S&T) environments Possess excellent organizational and communication skills; demonstrating an ability to communicate, interact easily and effectively with a wide variety of individuals and echelons in both written and verbal forms Previous experience authoring and delivering high-level briefings with strong written and oral communication skills to DoD/IC senior staff and executives. Previous experience authoring or editing DoD issuances including Directives and Instructions. Previous experience authoring or editing Program Protection Plans and Security Classification Guides. Broad knowledge of intelligence, counterintelligence, and security policies, principles, and procedures, including those for collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information missions and functions. Desired Skills Broad understanding of the pacing threats posed from principal adversaries as it relates to Great Power Competition in AI, Data and Analytics. Ability to rapidly understand and apply new concepts. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities. Advanced MS Word skills; proficient PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook application skills. Desired: Broad understanding of the pacing threats posed from principal adversaries as it relates to Great Power Competition in AI, Data and Analytics. Ability to rapidly understand and apply new concepts. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
