The mission of the Operations Manager is to create capacity for Wellings Capital to achieve its revenue and profitability goals by managing and improving company processes.

Job Type

Full-time, salaried position. The Operations Manager must either live in the Lynchburg, VA area or be willing to travel to Lynchburg two times per quarter. Ideally, the candidate should live within a reasonable driving distance of Lynchburg.

Compensation

Base salary: $(phone number removed) per year

Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus up to 15% of base salary, based on individual and company performance

Carried Interest: Eligible to receive a profits interest in Wellings Capital investment vehicles

Responsibilities

First 90 days

Propose recommendations for improving the existing hiring, onboarding, and off-boarding processes.

Review operational KPIs and quarterly/annual goals to identify necessary changes and actionable items to keep goals on track.

Lead the HubSpot improvement process with the consultant for sales/investor management. Propose a project timeline and goals/outcomes for the HubSpot capital deployment/operator management project.

Ongoing

Manage the hiring, onboarding, and off-boarding process for Wellings Capital

Manage payroll, employee performance management, and other HR-related functions in conjunction with leadership.

Monitor and report on KPI performance for revenue, profit, capital deployment, capital raising, etc. If KPIs are off track, work with relevant team members to bring them back on track.

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology solutions that support the firm's operations, including CRM, project management tools, and document management systems.

Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Assist in the preparation and management of the operational budget in collaboration with the Director of Finance & Accounting, ensuring alignment with the firm's financial goals.

Lead or support special projects as needed, including initiatives to enhance investor relations, improve due diligence processes, and expand the firm's market presence.

Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally; promote a positive and healthy work environment, ensure strong employee morale, and ensure retention of employees.

Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

At least three years of operations or project management experience, preferably in financial services, real estate, or private equity

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related field

Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and effective delivery of changes, solutions, or updates to the team

Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment

Proven ability to effectively manage time while maintaining a high level of organization

Technologically savvy and comfortable learning new technologies. Proficiency in the following platforms is ideal: Zoom, Google Suite, Asana, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
