When you work for Sciolex Corporation, you are working for a stable company that values you and is committed to ensuring you receive the utmost employee care Responsibilities We are currently seeking a 100% on-site full-time Contract Specialist to support our office in the Fort Belvoir, VA area. Performance of procurement procedures applicable to simple and complex procurements, advising requiring activities on processes related to inspection and acceptation of goods and services, and coordinating the receipt of invoices with the Resource Management Section. Interpretation of solicitation provisions and contract clauses for vendors and Government officials providing professional advice and recommendations to decision maker and approval authorities. Perform contract administration and coordinate performance measurement with the requiring activity. Assisting the Contracting Officer with performing contract closeout functions for Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable contracts. Duties include interfacing with the Program Office and Budget Office to verify that deliverables have been received by the Government and all funds have been expended, initiating applicable contract modification documents, drafting documentation, and preparing the closeout file for the Contracting Officer's review and approval. Qualifications & Physical Requirements TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility Five years' Contracting experience. DAWIA/FAC-C certification Expert knowledge of pre-award simplified acquisition procedures. Expert knowledge of Standard Procurement System (SPS) PD2 Expert knowledge of FAR Part 13 procedures including simplified procedures for certain commercial items
