Job description

Duties Directs scheduled preventative and unscheduled demand maintenance in accordance with policy, guidance and directive. Reviews and provides comments to policy and regulations issued by higher command authorities. Develops and maintains local procedures for networks, system operations, and product assembly and installation. Develops and directs the implementation of VoIP systems, including voice, video and voice messaging. Ensures the work efforts achieve the outcome specified within the agency's business and information technology strategies, including appropriate strategic, life-cycle management, and capital IT investment plans. Directs and monitors integration activities and identifies and documents integration issues, risks and gaps. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Experience planning, designing, implementing the life cycle management of Visa Passport Application (VPAS) or similar systems which support the automated processes for effectively managing the DoD system for issuance of passports and Visas. Experience utilizing the Army Portfolio Management System (APMS) or similar systems to monitor IT systems (VPAS, Passport Matters). Experience developing technical specifications and associated procurement documentation to acquire hardware, software, and services required to support the mission. Experience monitoring the usage and rate of expenditures against allocated/budgeted funds and ensures invoices are correctly billed and reconciled. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
