Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeing a DoD Secret cleared Sr. Systems Engineer for a program supporting the United States Army's Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA). The Sr. Systems Engineer will be supporting the customer and Cloud Architect with managing and executing the migration of on-prem Army mission systems to the cloud. Location: Remote (Must be within 240 miles from Ft. Belvoir, Virginia) - Occasional travel to PA and VA customer sites
Clearance Level: U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret at minimum is required for the program Scope:
Migration to the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) Cloud Army (cARMY) environment provides the opportunity to evaluate and potentially re-invent how the Army delivers IT services and make use of data and analytics to meet mission requirements. Cloud environments used as platforms are Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The program's scope is to provide IT services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) for the Army ECMA to support overall strategy and migration to the cARMY environment. Responsibilities: • Spearhead requirements generation, product design & development, and testing methodologies • Help define and execute systems architecture, ensuring IA compliance, coordinating and completing project efforts • Interface with the government personnel and collaborate with fellow cloud engineers and architects specializing in AWS and Azure to design, define, and develop strategic cloud solutions • Drive the development, implementation, and administration of multi-tenant, enterprise web-based solutions using automated processes and tools to perform system availability and integrity monitoring • Provide cloud service providers engineering solutions in a Linux & Windows environment on commercial cloud services (AWS or Azure) Qualifications: • Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance • Education and Experience: BS degree in Computer Engineering in related field with 10 years of experience implementing information management systems • Experience supporting US Army or DoD programs and projects • 5 years of experience supporting government cloud initiatives at an enterprise level Compensation: • Pay range: $150,000 - $200,000 (based on years of relevant experience and education) • Benefits: Cigna healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k), 20 days paid time off with 11 federal holidays
