Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Logistics and Program Support Specialist, Junior to work out of Ft. Eustis, VA Essential Duties: Conduct logistics and inventory control, logging, procurement, tracking, receiving, distribution, and storage of all items that support the research and development activities.
Maintain a database of all logistics transactions, to include but not limited to: Log number, inventory instructions, ordering point of contact, item description, national stock number or part number, quantity, unit of issue, hand-receipt number, job-order number, unit cost, total cost, date of submittal, required/requested delivery date, estimated date of arrival, status, manufacturer, incomplete or partial deliveries, etc.
Maintain a physical inventory of equipment ordered and received for research and development programs. Utilize provided storage facilities and equipment as appropriate.
Maintain a database of all inventory items, to include but not limited to: project identification, storage location, quantity on-hand, national stock number or part number, serial number (if applicable), etc.
Coordinate, track, and verify updates/changes to TID Hand Receipt accounts, as assigned. Coordinate all identified modifications, corrections, or changes through the TID hand-receipt holder, to the TDD-A/SID Property Book Officer (PBO) for implementation.
Assist the Government Hand Receipt Holders in conducting quarterly inspections of items on the various hand-receipt lists.
Assist in tracking special tools and equipment and maintaining inventory control of items requiring calibration.
Assist in Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE) and recycling programs to include maintaining a proper inventory and managing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Photos.
Must be able to move materials for up to 8 hours a day.
Must have the ability to stand on concrete for up to 8 hours a day and/or move up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: 0-3 years relevant experience performing these functions supporting industry or Government
Preferred Qualifications: US Army Aviation experience in an R&D environment is preferred over other DoD or general experience.
Capable of administrative tasks as required for daily operations and tracking logistics items to include requirements, proposals, estimates, orders, deliveries, status.
Capable of interpreting administrative guidance and plan, coordinate, and track completion for items such as training, regulatory compliance, and administrative paperwork required for fabrication of parts.
Familiarity with Windchill PTC configuration management system is preferred.
Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
Education/ Certification: Highschool degree or equivalent.
Required Clearance: Secret or ability to obtain.
