Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension

What schedule: Flex 9's, if 4x10's became a deal breaker for the right candidate

Pay range: 30-32/Hr on w2 (All inclusive)

High Level Project Overview:

This role is for a Materials Specialist to support the Power Station. You would report to the O&M Manager and support various other members of the team with LR projects in coordinating with Project Management, Supply Chain Management, and Leadership in developing and processing requisitions for engineered materials and services. Additionally, the role documents and tracks procurements as needed by the Project Management team. Maintain an inventory of all project stock items. You may be asked to oversee/escort contractors during various projects.

Working knowledge of SAP (this will be tested during interview)

Ability to manage multiple activities, resources, and task priorities

Must have direct hands-on experience as a Material specialist

Must have direct hands-on experience with Supply Chain Management

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Nice to Have Skills:

Mechanical aptitude, experience in a plant situation a plus

Experience on Construction sites with relation to LOTO and Safety

Comfortable walking around an industrial power plant.

Self-Motivated to constantly improve the operation of the station and efficiency of the work environment for all involved parties

Financial Sense to achieve cost savings for .

Organized/Clean

Project management experience if possible

Ability to communicate with parties at all levels of business (sales reps, working with Union employees, working in the field, working at desk, or the occasional tough discussion)

Required Years of Experience:

5+ years directly related experience hands on in a Materials Specialist role

Education:

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education

Preferred: Engineering or SCM degree

Are there any specific companies/industries you'd like to see in the candidate's experience?

Preference for candidate with experience in the commercial power industry (gas turbine preferred) or in heavy industry/manufacturing.

Preferred Interview Process Overview (High level):

In Person, potentially a panel interview. (SAP knowledge will be tested as part of the interview)

Available as a function of the job meaning that during our outages some overtime may be required.
