Job description

Flight Safety Support R&K Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (R&K) is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with core capabilities in Mission Support, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Exercise/Training, and Defense Healthcare in support of our Defense, Intelligence, and Federal Civilian customers. R&K supports the Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) Staff encompassing the Airspace, Ranges, and Airfield Operations Division (A3A), the Resources and Budget Division (A3R), and the HQ ACC Flight Safety Division (SEF). The SEF serves to safeguard airmen, protect resources, and preserve combat readiness for the 1,100 aircraft while championing implementation of mishap recommendations, risk management tools, and proactive mishap prevention measures through direct engagement with the Commander, ACC (COMACC). Title: Flight Safety Support Location: Langley AFB, VA Duration: Permanent/Full-Time Clearance: Secret Clearance Required Start Date: Upon Approval Duties: Include but are not limited to: Oversee implementation of the mishap prevention programs for ACC and subordinate units IAW the most current DAFI 91-202, The US Air Force Mishap Prevention Program , and other applicable Safety AFI/AFMAN(s) as well as supplemental guidance. Support investigating and reporting of safety events IAW the most current AFI 91-204, Safety Investigations and Reports , AFMAN 91-223 , Aviation Safety Investigations and Reports , and other applicable Safety AFI/AFMAN as well as supplemental guidance. Develop and implement activities and strategies to employ proactive aviation safety programs in their unique operational and training environments IAW the most current DAFI 91-225, Aviation Safety Programs , and other applicable Safety AFI/AFMAN as well as supplemental guidance. Provide technical and administrative support to the Safety FAM IAW the most current DAFI 91-202, DAFI 10-401, and other applicable Safety AFI/AFMAN as well as supplemental guidance. Requirements: The candidate shall meet the following qualifications: Successful completion of: Aircraft Mishap Investigation Course (AMIC), AND: Aviation Safety Program Management (ASPM), OR: Air Combat Command Flight Safety Program Management Course, OR: Air Reserve Component Chief of Safety Course (ARCCOS) OR 2. Previous completion of the Flight Safety Officer Course (WCIP05C) OR 3. Sister-service equivalents Two (2) Years Experience as a flight safety officer Four (4) Years Experience performing as a pilot, Combat Systems Officer (CSO), Air Battle Manager (ABM), or remote pilot Two (2) Years Staff Experience at the Wing level or higher Secret Clearance required R&K Enterprise Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity affirmative action employer committed to cultural diversity and compliance.
