12 week mentorship programs offered for new graduates! We also offer a 4-6 week program for experienced therapist entering the orthopedic specialty.

Tidewater Orthopaedic Physical Therapy department is seeking a full-time and/or part-time Physical Therapist at our Hampton & Williamsburg locations to treat a full range of pre and post operative orthopaedic diagnoses.
Preferred candidate(s) are experienced in the outpatient orthopaedic setting and familiar with compliant billing practices. Candidates can expect a challenging but fulfilling patient mix, treating approx 14-16 patients daily. As a Licensed Therapist with Tidewater Orthopaedics, you can expect to work closely with your patient's referring physician, collaborating on the most optimal treatment plan.

Responsibilities / Accountability:
Provide direct patient care
Compliant billing practices, adhering to all applicable rules and regulations.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Techs
Implement and communicating therapy recommendations, plans and goals
Communicate and document treatment/discharge notes within the expected time-frame and format
Act with professionalism and courtesy
Adhere to all practice-specific policies and procedures
Maintain a valid state PT license, CEU's, CPR certification and other credenitaling requirements as needed.
Education Level:
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor's degree of an accredited physical therapy curriculum
Certification in Physical Therapy and valid state license to practice
Valid CPR certification
Skills Required:
Time management, effective written and oral communication, ability to work independently or with a team, problem solving, planning, organizing.
Physical Demand:
Frequent standing, walking and sitting. Ability to pull, lift, carry and push greater than 150lbs. Frequent stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing and balancing. 95% of work will be performed inside with noise and/or vibrations. No extreme heat, cold, wet or humid work environment. Repetitive physical and verbal interaction with patients.
