Clearance: Must currently have an Active Secret with the ability to obtain SCI Eligible
Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II TTC is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join our team in support of the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program. The position is located at the USAF customer site in Hampton, VA, and reports to the Site Support Team (SST) IPT Lead. This position will support activities at Air Operations Centers (AOCs) located at various CONUS and OCONUS Air Force locations. The selected individual will be part of a team that is responsible for the installation, configuration, sustainment, and troubleshooting of Command and Control (C2) systems. This is a hybrid onsite/remote position (subject to change) with travel required up to 25% of the time. This position requires a demonstrated/thorough understanding and application of system administration and configuration management principals and processes, mission planning/scheduling, experience in the sustainment of an existing baseline, and a fundamental ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues. The successful candidate must be effective at face-to-face interaction with customers (military, government civil service, and contractors) to respond to requests for information and support for technical meetings, technical interchanges, and enterprise working groups. The candidate must be able to work independently and represent the program and TTC at meetings and working groups with government and associate contractors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Sustainment, management, and system administration support of the installed AOC baseline
Provide support for major upgrade projects (software and hardware) Provide technical expertise and support to assist the AOC sites to mitigate risks when transitioning from one fielded baseline to the next Provide assistance to site System Administrators, and other site users to increase their proficiency on the fielded baseline Assist in closing/resolving action items discovered during site evaluations Assist site personnel with properly configuring, troubleshooting issues, and migrating to new AOC infrastructure components Assist site personnel with the following: Properly configuring, troubleshooting, and migrating to new AOC infrastructure components Data migration (as required) Application tuning Domain policies Applying security patches Submitting/closing trouble tickets (as required) Configuring the AOC baseline to minimize downtime Attend Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), AOC Production Center (PC) engineering and integration meetings, post installation follow-up meetings Submit recommended changes to AOC Configuration Management (CM) personnel and assist in the Request for Variance (RFV) process as required Provide recommendations on performance and security issues, and other items of interest relating to AOC baseline(s) Completion of all applicable fielding objectives to include Agile Release Events (AREs), and Critical System Updates (CSUs), by applicable deadlines Work with key players to identify achievable site-specific objectives Track lessons learned and metrics and share with other members of the team Provide knowledgeable insight while testing/supporting future upgrades being developed by the AOC Production Center (PC) Assist with Verification and Validation Assessments and other SPO events as required Qualifications: Required Education Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills: Bachelor's degree and 7 years of hands-on Systems Administration experience or Master's degree and 5 years of hands-on Systems Administration experience Experience and industry certifications will be considered in lieu of education requirements Experience with Microsoft Windows Servers and Desktop Operating Systems (OS) Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (management/configuration) Experience with Microsoft Group Policy (management/configuration) Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies and data backup technologies Four or more years of experience with at least four of the following software technologies: Microsoft Exchange Microsoft System Center (SCCM/MECM) Windows Software Update Service (WSUS) Windows Deployment Services (WDS) Microsoft SQL Server or another relational database VMWare vSphere and ESXi, or equivalent hypervisor/virtual environment Citrix and vDisk, to include Provisioning, XenApp, and Storefront servers McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Nessus Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and/or Unix Current DoD Secret security clearance, with eligibility for SCI Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level III within 30 days of the date of hire (CompTIA Security+) Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS to system fielding sites up to 25% of the time Active passport required within 90 days of the date of hire Ability to lift up to 50lbs Desired Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills: Experience in highly effective communication and collaboration in a high-performance team environment Administration of computer networks/systems related to domain services, including system startup and shutdown; security and application patch installation; security scanning and remediation; user account, profile, and permission management; system backup and restoration; system service and log management; system auditing; problem report management; performance management; and other IT administration-related services Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching technologies Experience with remote file systems, to include CIFs and NSFs Information Assurance and Information System Security are the responsibility of each and every TTC, Inc. employee.
