The Integrated Aviation Solutions Division currently has an opening for an Assistant Site Lead supporting an OCONUS-based manned ISR program. Leidos is the Lead Systems Integrator for manned aircraft providing imagery and multi-source data for both real-time and post mission analysis. In concert with, and in the absence of the Site Lead, the Assistant Site Lead is responsible for leading OCONUS SOF ISR flight and ground operations to maximize mission results, ensure safety of personnel and equipment, and maintain accountability to U.S. government personnel. The Assistant Site Lead reports directly to the Site Lead for execution of Site Operations and to OCONUS ISR Manager for administrative actions. The ASL also maintains direct liaison with Government, Military, and other Contractor representatives at the OCONUS location. What's in it for you? This is a deployed management position and pay is commensurate. This position is ideal for a leader who desires extended time off (when not deployed) who is willing to deploy for up to 90 days. THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities) Plan, organize, managing all aspects of the deployed airborne surveillance operations site to meet program goals and objectives, including administration, aircraft maintenance/employment, logistics, personnel welfare, facilities, operational systems and flight standards and regulatory compliance. Effectively communicate and report equipment personnel and facility status to the Site Lead and Program Management and other internal and external stakeholders as required. Maintain operational oversight of staff and equipment Monitor and track flight status Assess risk and obtain flight authorization Assist with developing and editing procedures and auditing the site for compliance with contractual performance requirements. Manage a team of 10-14 operations personnel to include Airborne Sensor Operators (ASOs) and Intelligence Coordination Center (ICC) managers. Support OCONUS ISR Manager with administrative and operations management tasks when off rotation for up to 20 hrs weekly when requested by OCONUS ISR Manager. Support flight operations as a qualified sensor operator. And all other duties as required to ensure responsiveness of the program. WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications) Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 4-8 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI and ability to maintain. Experience leading deployed/ OCONUS Flight operations, teams, and personnel. Effectively communicate with Leidos and sub-contractor functional leads, managers, and employees. Deploy for rotations of at least 90 days with 90 days off during non-rotation periods. Be willing to work long hours and/or non-regular hours in Hardship and Hazardous locations. Be able to obtain a passport to travel internationally. Have or be able to obtain a FAA Class II medical certificate or military equivalent. Have experience as an Operations and Training Manager or a rated Instructor/Evaluator on the STAMP program. Be able to successfully accomplish the CONUS Replacement Center course which requires a deployment physical, immunizations, and training. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading Special Operations Aviation activities.
Prior OCONUS rotation experience supporting SOCOM in the CENTCOM area of operations.
Prior experience as an interim Assistant Site Lead.
Current or previously qualified as an Instructor ASO on the STAMP platform.
Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground communication coordination experience desired. Original Posting Date: 2024-10-02
