Job description

The Sponsor's mission is to provide cutting edge language training to enable the Sponsor's employees to be proficient in a wide range of languages. The Sponsor provides a variety of instructional formats including face-to-face, online, self-directed, and virtual learning. These services and the IT infrastructure they reside on require design, deployment, and operations and maintenance (O&M) support. The Sponsor's infrastructure includes a wireless environment, AWS and Azure Cloud environments with a team supporting all technical activities. • The Contractor shall work closely with the Sponsor to gather requirements and advise on AWS infrastructure design, development and deployment of Cloud resources • The Contractor shall design, test and implement log aggregation in support of Cloud and AWS systems. • The Contractor shall design, test, and implement search and visualization infrastructure in support of AWS systems. • The Contractor shall work with vendors to develop and deploy Cloud based solutions to the learning environment in AWS. • The Contractor shall act as a liaison between the Customer and Vendor Contacts to troubleshoot AWS when deploying new resources. • The Contractor shall recommend new technologies for use in the cloud environment (AWS). • The Contractor shall communicate IT requirements between management and technical entities. Mandatory Skills The Contractor shall have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience: • Demonstrated experience in risk management and ability to identify project risks and facilitate the development and implementation of mitigation strategies • Demonstrated experience implementing and integrating AWS solutions. • Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements from vendor contacts and customers. • Demonstrated experience using Linux in the AWS environment. • Demonstrated experience with scripting and web programming technologies required to support web based learning systems, such as PHP, PERL, Java, Jscript or PowerShell. • Demonstrated experience deploying third party software products. • Demonstrated experience with Software Configuration Management (SCCM). • Demonstrated experience working with desktop and network hardware. • Active TS/SCI FS Poly Optional Skills Skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include: • Demonstrated experience with Mac based devices. • Demonstrated experience managing Windows based servers. • Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's security governance procedures. • Demonstrated experience collaborating with the Sponsor's security managers. • Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's systems and network accreditation process (A&A). • Demonstrated experience with Windows Server 2012/2016; Windows system scripting technologies (JavaScript, Visual Basic Scripting). • Demonstrated experience with Linux, Mac OSX, Apple IOS; Microsoft server/workstation technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy. • Demonstrated experience with Management, IIS, Hyper-V, RIS, software deployment; Network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Standard. • Demonstrated experience as a Supervisor or team leader.
