Karsun Solutions is looking for a Director of Proposals to provide strategic leadership within the growth organization. The Proposal Director will lead a team of direct reports (at the Manager level) in order to execute multiple concurrent proposals while ensuring 100% compliance on all bids. Independently manage highly complex proposals involving the design, engineering, implementation, deployment, and sustainment of solutions primarily in the defense market.
Develop all proposal development materials including but not limited to proposal outline, compliance matrix, proposal management plan, proposal kick-off meeting materials, storyboard and writing plans.
Ensure that all the strategic messaging (win themes) developed by the capture team makes its way into the proposal documents. The Proposal Director will work with multiple proposal writers/leads (Solution Architects, Delivery Leads, etc.) to ensure proposals are compelling, compliant, have a clear value proposition, and are easily scorable in accordance with the given evaluation criteria. Review and analyze solicitation and related documents ensuring final proposal product is compliant and delivered on schedule.
Participate in peer reviews of proposal materials developed by other Proposal Managers for compliance and proposal readiness to submit.
Identify and support process improvement activities. Required Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and at least 10 years of proposal management experience; or related experience or equivalent experience in lieu of degree (2 years' experience for each year of degree.).
At least 10 years' experience in government contracting.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong preference for candidates located in commutable distance to Herndon, VA for on-site proposal activities, as required. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications. Karsun Solutions is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
