Job Description:
NS2 Mission is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill a Front-End or Full Stack Software Developer role in Herndon, VA, to support the re-architecture of a large mission critical access control system currently written in Grails. The successful candidate should have the ability to leverage cloud infrastructure and services to modernize the overall architecture, and experience building products across the stack with a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. They will work with the current development team to maintain the current capabilities, and collaborate with mission partners to design new features, and develop new software for the system. NS2 Mission is specifically seeking candidates with a background in Python as well as front-end development using Angular.
Required Qualifications: A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or additional years of specialized experience in a scientific or technical discipline in the areas of Computer or Information Technology (6 additional years of experience in lieu of Master's degree)
Demonstrated experience using Linux
Demonstrated experience with Python
Experience building web-based applications using UI frameworks such as Angular, React, etc.
Demonstrated experience working in a cloud environment
Demonstrated experience with DBMS and/or file-based storage technology, such as MongoDB, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, etc.
Demonstrated experience in continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Nexus, etc.)
Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
Experience in unit/integration testing.Desired Qualifications: Ability to swiftly adapt to evolving technologies to support the dynamic landscape of Full Stack Development
Experience working in an Agile team environment
Excellent communication skills.Position Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Polygraph Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S security clearance which requires U.S citizenship.
