The Innovation Director leads our innovation team in advancing our capabilities and shaping the future of federal technology solutions. This role leads a well-funded Innovation Program designed to enhance Tyto's market position, deliver impactful solutions to our clients, generate revenue growth, and create meaningful career paths for our team. You'll drive strategies that strengthen our brand, build valuable partnerships, and integrate cutting-edge technologies. Your leadership will help foster a culture of creativity and collaboration, making a tangible difference for our clients, our industry, and our people. The Innovation Director provides technical direction and expertise in various areas, including leading the development of architectural blueprints for novel, compelling and differentiated work products related to enterprise network modernization, digital modernization, defensive cyber operations (DCO), Zero Trust (ZT), IT Service Management, application modernization, post quantum, analytics and the exploitation of AI/ML for information dominance on behalf of our customers. Responsibilities: Innovation Program Leadership: Build out and lead the team, put plans into action, and aim for quick wins to show the program's value early on. Strategic Vision: Develop and implement Tyto's innovation roadmap aligned with future technologies and business goals. Identify and curate Tyto's big bets, that underpin our brand promise and exemplifies 'what we want to be famous for'. Technology Scouting: Identify emerging technologies that drive innovation and business differentiation in the federal market. Partnership Development: Foster external relationships with industry, academia, and government agencies for collaborative R&D. Culture of Innovation: Promote an environment where team members feel comfortable trying new ideas and taking smart risks. Operational Integration: Oversee the implementation of innovative technologies in current and future programs. Marketing Support: Work with our marketing team to share Tyto's innovation successes. Contribute to articles, case studies, and insights highlighting what makes us stand out in the federal market. Manage a High-Performing Team: Provide clear goals and a supportive environment that encourages team growth and open communication. Foster accountability and celebrate achievements to build a strong, motivated team. Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent, relevant experience will be considered. 10+ years in digital modernization, cyber, networking, or application modernization, with experience assessing complex client needs and leading solution design. Track record of driving successful innovation programs, ideally within the federal sector. Demonstrated success in leading transformative initiatives that have driven measurable improvements or growth. Strong knowledge of federal requirements, regulations, and compliance needs, with experience integrating these into program design and execution. Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with emerging infrastructure, AI, cloud, or cybersecurity technologies, particularly as applied to federal or large enterprise projects. Proven ability to drive change in large, complex organizations. Desired: Experience with public speaking and representing an organization's brand at industry events, conferences, or similar forums.
