Joining Beacon Building Products as an Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IPR) Manager means becoming part of a values-driven organization. The IPR Manager will develop and execute a strategic forecast and replenishment plan that will enable Beacon to build a competitive advantage through optimized purchasing, while assuring inventory flow consistent with optimal branch productivity. This individual will lead a team of IPR professionals with the mission of ensuring the right product is in the right place and at the right time. This position includes oversight of inventory accuracy by working with operational peers and validating processes. This role will report to the Vice President Category Management/IPR for the Waterproofing Division and will be a close business partner to the WPR North Region Operational Leadership Team.

What you will do
Lead a team to execute buying activities, measuring success, and leveraging relationships to provide capacity to field locations
Proactively manage regional inventory levels based on historical and forecasted demand, leverage cross-functional resources available to assist and align to working capital requirements
Ensure purchase order accuracy while always striving to improve efficiency and effective processes
Partner with Regional leadership to define/refine/develop strategy in line with the division and company goals
Identify, negotiate and track regional and local "buy" opportunities that are in line with the strategic direction of the region and division
Champion the Beacon exclusive brand (TRI-BUILT) and continue to drive preferred use and support
Develop internal and external relationships with vendors, sales, operations, functional support and other stakeholders to accomplish cross-function tasks
Lead regional wide efforts on Daily Cycle Count and Annual Physical Inventory processes ensuring controls are in place, compliance to Beacon processes and operational excellence
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Finance, or other technical discipline
7+ years of purchasing/sourcing experience, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry, building products
Proven experience in leading a large, diverse and regionally dispersed team
Six Sigma trained, Black Belt Certification desired, Green Belt of equivalent will be considered
Demonstrated ability to work in a changing environment, see through complexity, with a high tolerance for ambiguity
Strong influencing and coaching skills with proven experience in developing and coaching a team
Ability to be effective in a highly matrixed environment, to communicate with and influence all levels of the organization and drive change
Solid experience of quantitative and qualitative analysis with a financial analysis acumen and need to practically apply results
Must be able to think and act strategically, but also be willing to "roll up your sleeves" within the function
Proficient skill with Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of business acumen, financial concepts, and procedures
