Job description

Piper Companies is seeking an Systems Engineer for a world leading technology organization in Herndon, VA area for an Onsite role.

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer

Securing compliance with NISPOM and ICD guidelines

Assist in the creation and manage of System Security Plans (SSP)

Plan of Action and Milestone (PO&AM) documentation

Assisting with the accreditation process of the systems.

Requirements for the Systems Engineer

U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and Counterintelligence Polygraph.

Proficient in network setups (Routers, Switches, Firewalls), Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and Linux systems.

Experience with VMware's vSphere suite and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google.

in contracts requiring DIACAP, NISPOM, ICD, and DoD 8570 certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CISA).

Experience with system patching, vulnerability remediation, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, and centralized logging tools like Splunk.

Ability to work in dynamic, changing environments, independently or within a team.

Knowledge of COMSEC, encryption, and experience with Jira administration.

Compensation and Benefits for the Systems Engineer

Salary $130,000 - $155,000
