The Multi-Modality Technologist I WIP performs routine and complex high quality imaging exams in assigned modalities.
The Multi-Modality Technologist I WIP provides safe, patient-centered care with attention to the physical and emotional needs of patients of all age groups.
The Multi-Modality Technologist I WIP must be willing and able to learn new skills, and is required to maintain annual competencies in all assigned modalities.
Job Description
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a sonographer ARRT(S) or RDMS or CCI certification in Medical Sonography or RDCS certification in Cardiac Sonography or RVT certification as Vascular Technologist.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a Sonographer ARRT(S) or RDMS or CCI certification in Medical Sonography or RDCS certification in Cardiac Sonography or RVT certification as Vascular Technologist AND At least one of the following additional certifications is required prior to advancement to level 2: MRI, CT, PET, Sonography, ARDMS or CCI or RDCS or RVT or ARRT-specialty certification , VI or CI , Mammo, Nuclear Medicine Team members must meet eligibility requirements for multi-modality role and progress to Clinical Ladder Level 2 within 24 months of hire.
Experience REQUIRED: N/A
Experience PREFERRED:
One (1) to Three (3) years of previous Technologist work experience in each of the assigned modalities
Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment
Education/training REQUIRED:
Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology that is recognized by the ARRT or Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Nuclear Medicine that is recognized by the NMTCB and/or Graduation from an CAAHEP or CMA Accredited Program in Medical/Cardiac/Vascular Sonography or Graduation from a minimum of a 2 year JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology or Sonography that is recognized by the ARRT or Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, JRC-DMS or graduation from a Bachelor's degree program in Sonography or Vascular Sonography.
Education/training PREFERRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Radiations Science, Radiologic Technology, Sonography, or Vascular Sonography
