ROCKBRIDGE AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES
RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bath County, and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. RACS will provide training, supervision, and education opportunities specific to the position.

Position Overview:
The Coalition Facilitator organizes and implements the Rockbridge Area Prevention Coalition and the youth coalition SiRPHA (Students in Rockbridge Promoting Healthy Alternatives), coordinating with Prevention staff and programs as needed and communicating with DBHDS Central Office as required about prevention coalition activities. The Coalition Facilitator ensures the participation of appropriate stakeholders in prevention coalition activities and will seek opportunities for meaningful involvement of Bath County as well. The Coalition Facilitator conducts all business of the Rockbridge Area Prevention Coalition and SiRPHA, and in coordination with the RACS Prevention Services Program Manager helps ensure that programming meets with the annual goals and objectives of the Prevention Plan. The Prevention Coalition Facilitator also serves in conjunction with the Prevention Manager in the Unit's fulfillment of obligations to DBHDS database reporting regarding coalition activities and the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF).
The Coalition Facilitator works under the direct supervision of the Prevention Services Program Manager. In carrying out the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to exercise sound judgment; demonstrate initiative and flexibility; possess skills in public relations and communication; rely on experience and judgment to oversee and implement the coalition; conduct agency business with the utmost professionalism; work both independently and as a team member; and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Education and experience: Minimum: High School Diploma. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Prior experience in group/organization facilitation desired.

Probationary Period:
All persons that are newly hired, rehired, transferred, promoted, or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6-month probationary period.
