The team is involved in the deployment and maintenance of multiple operational cloud deployed solutions. The candidate will have advanced knowledge and experience working in both AWS and Azure infrastructures demonstrating ability to configure virtualized spaces, build out new servers, both Microsoft and Red Hat Linux, and build routing architectures for both internal and external agency communications. The candidate will have knowledge of how to work with cloud deployment tools, such as Cloud Formation, or Terraform and demonstrated experience with these tools to deploy servers and platforms. The candidate will have experience working with Office365 in a hybrid environment. Demonstrated Azure experience building Microsoft servers and specifically SQL server clusters in the cloud. A firm grasp of scripting languages such as PowerShell, AWS CLI and Python are a required. This position is located in Washington, DC Primary Roles & Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will involve the building out and managing of the AWS and Azure infrastructure services, such as routers to deploy elements of the software baseline ranging from large COTS to small custom services and the stand up and configuration and upkeep of AMIs to support deployments. The candidate will design, engineer and coordinating migration of on premise servers to the cloud, whether AWS or Azure. As part of an agile team, the candidate will participate in sprint and release level team activities, and technical exchange meetings in support of program objectives. Additional work may be required to support development team activities during automation integration activities, this may involve interaction with government and other contractors to build a successful working product and the collaborative troubleshooting of issues. Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree (or near graduation) and 9+ years of prior relevant experience
• Experience in either cloud infrastructure development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
• Experience in AWS and Azure/Cloud technologies
• Understanding of Cloud deployment applications like Cloud Formation
• Understanding of Powershell
• Understanding of code baseline management
• Knowledge of the Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
• Must currently possess an active TS/SCI with ability to gain DHS EOD
