Payroll Accountant - Hybrid After Training Period

About the Company and Opportunity:

  • Our client is a property management company in the Tysons Corner area who serves the DC/NOVA areas!
  • Due to a project, they are hiring a temporary Payroll Accountant in their McLean office.
  • Position is 100% onsite until the training period of 90 days is up then hybrid (3 in, 2 out) and the schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.
  • Pay is $33-36/hr - a great place to network, learn new software, and keep your skills alive!
  • This position is temporary, but for the right candidate it could go permanent (depending on needs of the business, performance, and fit).

Overview of the Payroll Accountant role:

  • Responsible for assisting in the processing, monitoring, and reviewing of the semi-monthly payroll for 171 employees.
  • Review, batch, and process timecards.
  • Assist in the review of employee change forms.
  • Update and maintain accurate payroll files and records.
  • Review and distribute payroll reports as needed.
  • Upload payroll and accruals to the financial system.
  • Assist with payroll disbursements including taxes, retirement plans, etc.
  • Payroll and insurance reconciliations.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Accountant

  • 3-5 years of Payroll Accounting experience
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Extremely organized, able to multi-task effectively and attentive to detail
  • ADP experience is a plus
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Fast and accurate data entry required
