Experience: 8+ years of relevant professional experience with Bachelor's, 6+ with Master's and 3+ with a PhD Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Security: Current / active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph or willingness to take one. Background investigation required, including a minimum of a criminal and credit check as well as at least three professional references. Role Overview: Pelagic AI is seeking Senior Systems Engineers with varying levels of experience to support the development, integration, and deployment of advanced intelligence capabilities in a classified environment. You will be part of a project team responsible for designing and maintaining system architectures that integrate various components into a larger operational infrastructure. Deployment will span multiple networks, utilizing hybrid architectures consisting of both local and cloud infrastructures. Principal Responsibilities: • Lead system architecture design and integration across multiple environments (cloud and on- premises) • Act as a product owner, managing system components and ensuring they meet project and customer requirements • Develop, maintain, and oversee technical and user documentation with a focus on accuracy and clarity • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, network, and DevOps engineers) to ensure seamless system integration Pelagic AI, LLC 1765 Greensboro Station Place, Tower 1, Suite 900, McLean VA 22102 USA +1 • Troubleshoot system issues and communicate with operational team and assist in addressing issues promptly • Ability to lead and improve processes through cross functional teams to streamline communication, configuration management, documentation and deliveries Minimum Requirements: • Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to pass a CI polygraph • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree) • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, including system architecture, integration, and deployment • Proven track record as a product owner, managing system components and aligning them with project and customer objectives • Strong experience in developing and maintaining both technical and user documentation • Familiarity with cloud infrastructures, hybrid environments, and system optimization practices • Must be willing to work on-site An Excellent Candidate for this position will meet most of the following experience requirements: • Experience with Agile methodologies and working within cross-functional teams • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively • Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins) and system deployment methodologies • Domain knowledge in defense and intelligence systems is highly preferred General personal traits we know will connect well with the team: • Superior communication skills • An ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly • Adaptability to learn new methodologies and technologies • Comfortable working in an agile team environment • Technology and methodology agnostic, but accepts using tools needed for the requirement • Enjoys coaching and teaching Pelagic AI, LLC 1765 Greensboro Station Place, Tower 1, Suite 900, McLean VA 22102 USA +1 About Pelagic AI Pelagic AI is AI Solutions delivered: from tech road maps to custom software.
