Job description

Duties You will support the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the management and execution of the Cyber security and IT security program for organizationally managed network systems. You will support the securing of network and IS baselines by assessing Cybersecurity and IT security settings and configurations. You will assist in the development of policies and procedures to ensure IS reliability and accessibility You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed IS to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs. You will participate in network and systems design and the configuration management board to ensure the implementation of appropriate Cybersecurity and IT security policies, requirements, and security controls. This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector working with Cybersecurity (e.g. network security architecture, IT Security engineering, data integrity, encryption, Cyber security information sources) to ensure compliance for cybersecurity programs.
