Job Number: R Engineering Technician
Key Role: Support Electromagnetic Compatibility ( EMC ) certification activities for naval ships. C ond uct visual inspections of shipboard topside equipment to determine the physical c ond ition of the installed b ond ing and grounding measures, status of EMC fix installations, or repair or installation of b ond ing and grounding measures, including bolts or b ond straps, and fix kits. Document results in templated status reports. Embark on Naval ships, when necessary. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with testing, evaluation, or investigation of military or commer cia l Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance ( C5ISR ) systems or components relative to Radio Frequency ( RF ) engineering, EMC, or Electromagnetic Interference
Experience using Micro sof t Office products, including Word or Excel
Ability to replace bolts or b ond ing straps
Ability to c ond uct visual inspections of system c ond itions aboard naval ships, including systems in hard-to-reach locations such as antennas on the mast of the ship
Ability to travel within CONUS and OCONUS
Secret clearance HS diploma or GED Additional Qualifications: Experience with military electronics or electrical systems
Experience operating RF test equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers or Field Fox
Stick - Shielded Metal ARC Welding ( SMAW ) , MIG - Gas Metal Arc Welding ( GMAW ) , TIG - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding ( GTAW ) , or Gas Welding and Oxyacetylene Welding Certification
Graduate of a Trade School, including Electronics or Electronic Te chn ology School Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
