Job description

Essential Area of Responsibility: • All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any/all incumbents, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Work responsibilities may vary, depending upon assignment. • Onsite contract representative would serve as Experiment Planner. General Functions/Duties: • Conduct experimentation event/initiative planning, design, and execution.
• Develop final experiment reports based on analytical rigor.
• Develop post-experiment doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF) change recommendations. • Coordinate with principal stakeholders.
• Assist and advise in aligning and coordinating initiatives.
• Provide technical and tactical subject matter expertise to government and contractor leads.
• Assist in developing experiment objectives, plans, and recommended courses of action throughout the event lifecycle.
• Participate in all phases of event planning, including assisting in executing the Concept Development Conference, Initial Planning Conference, Main Planning Conference, Final Planning Conference, Execution, and Post Execution activities.
• Assist in event knowledge management using government-provided portals or websites for event, initiative, and analysis document development.
• Conduct rigorous concept development analysis and evaluation, including examination of various proposals/positions or tests.
• Prepare and staff senior-level (06/Flag/SES) correspondence and briefs. Required:
• 10 years of experience with military operations. • Tactical and operational experience as a USN/USMC officer.
• Active TS/SCI, U.S. citizen. Preferred experience:
• Experiment or exercise planning.
• As a staff officer on a CSG, Numbered or Major Fleet (MOC) staff, or equivalent. Education: • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree; 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Engineering degree preferred. Start date:
• Flexible, between now and 15 January.
