Job Description SDi has an immediate career opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join our Norfolk, VA team. The IT Project Manager shall have DoD experience managing and leading complex IT-related projects and teams within schedule, cost, and scope. The IT Project Manager (PM) shall have expert knowledge of all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, stakeholders, human resources and communications management. The PM shall be able to demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills, the ability to lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, the ability to establish confidence and credibility with managers and senior level IT leaders, excellent communications skills, foster open communications on teams. This is a 100% on-site position, requiring the chosen IT Project Manager to be at either the customer's Norfolk Naval Station location or SDi's Downtown Norfolk office based on need. Responsibilities Full life cycle IT project management and/or program management support of a wide variety of DoD projects Leading a team: working closely with technical professionals to ensure strict adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, and to ensure successful project execution Regularly interfacing with senior management, design engineers, customer stakeholders, implementation team members, vendors, and subcontractors Managing systems engineering, integration or installation projects involving DoD systems Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, & closing projects Controlling scope, time, cost, quality, risk and issues Managing stakeholders' expectations and responding to customer feedback Leading and directing multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and scope Assessing project health and directing any necessary corrective measures and creatively applying project management processes to address unique situations Creating and applying comprehensive project plans; detailed project schedules, resource estimates, quality requirements and metrics, and organizational change management activities Defining and documenting project work breakdowns and monitoring project status Required Qualifications B.S Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or similar technical background preferred Eight (8) years' experience successfully managing and leading the successful realization of complex projects with budgets in excess of $10M Proficient in Microsoft Project Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification U.S. Citizen with current DOD Secret clearance Desired Qualifica tions (Salary Commensurate) Microsoft Server-related certifications CompTIA Security+ Certification or higher CompTIA certs Microsoft Azure-related certifications Knowledge of Maritime systems or networks, especially within the DoD Additional Information Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check prior to employment. Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, the ability to move safely in confined spaces, the ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when needed, the ability to go onsite to company and customer worksites, the ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, the ability to use a computer keyboard, and the ability to see and respond to dangerous situations when needed.
