POSITION OVERVIEW DEFTEC Corporation seeks a Principal Technician (Audio Visual Support) to support NATO in Norfolk, VA. Required Qualifications: The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance At least 8 years' relevant experience as a VTC and Audio Visual Lead Technician; Practical experience in planning, installing or maintaining audio/visual equipment and their associated voice or data terminal, line and routing equipment; Experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of Audio/Visual and Simultaneous interpretation equipment; Experience in a customer service support environment; Experience in a problem and incident management. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certified; Polycom Certified Videoconferencing Engineer (PCVE) Certified; Info Comm AV Installation Level 1: System Fabrication; NATO Video Tele Conferencing Servers (VTC MCU) Course; NATO HD Video Tele Conferencing Facilitator (VTC HD); • Working knowledge of Crestron Control Units DEFTEC offers a comprehensive whole life benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, holiday, paid time off, life insurance, short/long term disability, and educational reimbursement.
