Job description

Duties You will apply learned knowledge of intelligence principles, concepts, and methods governing area of responsibility and utilize terminologies, methodologies, and research and analytical techniques. You will assist in preparing and presenting briefings and written products on assigned area for senior level Department of Defense and US Marine Corps officials. You will interpret, evaluate, and integrate intelligence information from all sources. You will use judgment in interpreting and adapting guidelines such as the policies, regulations, precedents, and work directions for application to specific cases or problems. You will analyze results and recommend changes. You will use verbal and written communication techniques to produce finished products, prepare and present briefings, and participate in meetings and conferences. You will receive formal and on-the-job training and guidance to accomplish assignments designed to develop skills and competencies necessary for successful performance and advancement to the full performance work level. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This position requires a periodic polygraph examination. This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period. Shift work and travel required for contingency/exercise support, briefings, conferences and training. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as: 1. Prepare portions of or complete intelligence analyses or assessments in assigned area of responsibility. 2. Interpret, evaluate, and integrate intelligence information from all sources. 3. Perform routine tasks associated with intelligence production or collection. 4. Evaluate intelligence material on its importance to extract relevant data. OR I have a master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR I have completed 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR I have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
