Job description

Duties You will serve as the Technology Procurement Review and Approval System (ITPRAS) contact for Training and Education Command (TECOM) G-6. You will resolve discrepancies in requests submitted by subordinate commands in ITPRAS that do not adhere to policies and procedures in accordance with DOD, DON, and USMC policies and guidelines. You will oversee Quality Control for ITPRAS requests. You will coordinate requests for IT service contracts. You will evaluate Justification and Analysis (J and A) documentation to determine whether proposed ITPRAS requests effectively address sole-source criteria, standard configurations, and cybersecurity approvals. You will ensure that security related provisions of system acquisition documents meet all identified security needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 411, proficiency level INTERMEDIATE the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. Must earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) Must participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing IT systems, services, and user support for an organization In addition to demonstrating the one year of specialized experience above, applicants must also demonstrate the four competencies below. 1.Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: installing, configuring, and testing software on customer workstations. 2.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: participate in the planning and delivery of a full range of customer support services to the organization, evaluating effectiveness of customer support services, and evaluating impacts of proposed IT initiatives to services. 3.Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: present formal and informal training, guidance, and assistance to customers; provide routine advice and guidance to customers requesting information on established policy or procedures, including those related to information security/information assurance. 4.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Education In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the position based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows: A master's or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. NOTE: Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (). Therefore, provide only the transcripts and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
