Job Number: R Mobile Security Reverse Engineer
Key Role: Provide reverse engineering, static and dynamic binary analysis, and vulnerability analysis of sof tware on various platforms and operating systems. Write proof-of-concept sof tware that simulates the behavior of analyzed binaries and their interactions with other system components and validate any discovered vulnerabilities. Author te chn ical documentation of research or findings related to all security mechanisms, including access control, encryption, and obfuscation. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with reverse engineering
Experience with Python, C, or C++ programming Experience with embedded device sof tware development and compilers, li nk ers, and binary code generation process Experience with static reverse engineering of sof tware binaries from mobile operating systems such as iOS and Android, application level reverse engineering, and low-level device code, including ROM, bootloader, kernel, and t rus tlets using Ghidra or IDAPro Experience with microcontroller architecture, including ARM or RISC-V, and assembly language programming and asso cia ted security features, including pointer authentication code, memory tagging extensions, or privilege access never
Experience with dynamic reverse engineering using JTAG, debuggers, or access methods Experience in developing exploitation capability prototyping activities
Knowledge of operating systems and security practices Top Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, Computer Engineering, Science, Te chn ology, Engineering, or Mathematics Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of exploit te chn iques, including use after free or heap overflows Knowledge of specifications used in electronic device sof tware, including ASN1, file formats, including IMG4, and interface specifications, including USB
Knowledge of security features of iOS and Android, including T rus tzone
Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Top Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
